The Purple House Hostel of David City, Panama was named by it's founder Andrea A. in honor of the original Purple House Hostel which was located in Tel Aviv, Israel back in the 1980's. In 1999 she came to Panama as a Peace Corps Volunteer and never left.
After 15 years she decided to pass the hostel to it's new owners and current administrators Karla, Martha and Bryan becoming a family business. This change came with a new location, new ideas and of course great hospitality that will make you feel welcome and comfortable.
David is the capital of the province of Chiriquí. The development of the banking sector, public construction works such as the expansion of the airport and the David-Boquete highway alongside the growth of commercial activity in the city have increased its prominence as one of the fastest growing regions in the country.
As Chiriquí province continues to gain popularity as a tourist destination, more hotels are being built to accommodate all budget ranges.
